Optimization of the Extraction Parameters for the Isolation of Bioactive Compounds from Orange Peel Waste

More and more research is being focused on the production of value-adding products from waste materials. Food not only a major global issue, but also an excellent source bioactive compounds. In this study, parameters that affect extraction compounds (polyphenols, ascorbic acid, hesperidin, carotenoids) orange peels, their antioxidant properties, were optimized, using response surface methodology (RSM) (examining temperature, time, composition solvent). addition, effect two techniques was examined [ultrasound (US) pulsed electric field (PEF)], either separately or combined, so as to determine whether they can enhance From our results, it apparent peels are many since extracts contained hesperidin (16.26 mg/g dw), total polyphenols (34.71 mg GAE/g acid (1228.93 mg/100 g dw) carotenoids (52.98 ?g CtE/g dw).
